How long will Play Therapy last?
This depends on your child as Play Therapy is led by their progress. Ideally, a commitment to a minimum of 12 sessions is preferable to fully engage with the therapy.
How will I know it is working?
When you meet with Holly initially, you will discuss some realistic targets and outcomes for the therapy. She will also carry out some assessments at the start and end of the therapy to help monitor signs of change during the therapy.
She will also be happy to incorporate any assessment measures preferred by the placement. You might see changes or shifts at home and other adults, eg. teachers, may also comment on changes they have observed.
You will meet with Holly regularly to review your child’s progress and, at the end of the therapy, to discuss the outcomes and plan for any further support.
When and how do I pay?
An exact fee and payment structure will be discussed during your initial consultation. Payment can made on the day of the appointment or by BACS on the day before.
